INDOOR & OUTDOOR SHOOTING
1. While on the shooting line, an archer should not allow himself or his equipment to interfere with other archers on the shooting line.
2. Shoot only in assigned and designated shooting lanes.
3. Never shoot across shooting lanes (cross shooting).
4. Never cross the shooting line until shooting by all archers is complete, and the command to “score” or “pull” is given.
5. Never use your bow to retrieve an arrow.
6. Never touch arrows in the target until all arrows are scored.
7. Coaching should never be done at the line. This distracts others.
8. Always be careful of others’ equipment. Watch where you walk, be careful when removing your bow from the bow-rack.
9. Never handle another person’s tackle without permission.
10. When shooting in competition, always remain at the shooting line until archers shooting adjacent to you have finished shooting. Never leave the shooting line when archers are at full draw.
11. Never shoot from behind the shooting line.
12. Outdoors if you have to look for an arrow behind a target, always lean your bow against the front of the target butt as a signal to approaching archers that someone is behind the target.
13. If during a tournament you need to look for an arrow behind the target please limit the time you take to look.
14. Never “back-track” while a tournament is in progress. Stay on the path leading to the next target.
15. When vision is limited for archers behind your group as you are walking to the next target, tell the group behind you when you are clear.
16. If the group behind you is shooting faster than you are, and has to wait, courtesy says, “let them shoot through” (Go ahead).
17. Again, do not leave the shooting line while your partner is at full-draw.
